The West Coat Eagles won the grand final match against The Sydney Swans today!! Yay! They're going to bring th cup back to perth. Was a close fight though. 85:84. Pretty darn amazing. The swans suddenly caught up in the last quarter. Hayden was screaming his lungs out. I think the entire compound knows the Eagles won. Haha. Not that i'm complaining. I thought it was a really good match. Exciting!
Eagles match tradition. We HAVE to go to Hungary Jacks (it's actually hayden's tradition cause hungry jacks is the sponsor for the eagles) to buy food. On the way there, Hayden will always wear his Eagles merchandise and wave his scarf out of the window. Today especially, alot of people were doing the same thing and yelling "GO EAGLES!!" at each other. It's quite fun actually. This person even got out her loud speaker and sang the Eagles song! I was really quite amused. All this was taking place while i was driving along the road at 10am in the morning. Where do people get the energy from? Haha. You could never do that in singapore. People will think you're shen jing bing. Anyway, i don't think singaporeans are passionate enough. Pffft.
I have done absolutely nothing since i got back. Was supposed to get started on doing some work, do my laundry and clean my room. All i mananged to get my lazy self to do was to sort out my massive load of laundry which i was supposed to have washed the week BEFORE i left for home. The rest of the time i spent watching tv with brad mostly. Heh. Oh oh. I brought the boys for haircuts. They look so cute now. They were so scared to go themselves and didn't know what to tell the stylist, so i had to tell them. I'm becoming more and more maternal i tell you. Anyway. I will have motivation to do my work and clean my room and do my laundry and wash my sheets this week because NAT IS COMING FOR A VISIT ON SATURDAY!!! How exciting! I tell you, visits from friends just make this whole "overseas experience" so much more fun and fulfilling.

Shipping myself back to perth tomorrow. Hate leaving singapore. It's not so bad when i'm in perth, but it's the whole leaving home thing that gets to me. Like you're starting to warm up to the life that you have here and suddenly it's time to go again. There's never enough time spent with the people i want to see when i'm here. Oh well. I have to admit that i spent my time very well this trip back and i'm just sorry that i couldn't stay longer.
My jie's wedding was absolutely fabulous. It was the best wedding i've ever attended and my jie is definitely the pwettiest bride i've ever seen. Truthfully and honestly. I'm so happy that the whole thing went well and that it didn't rain (Praise the Lord). The pictures so far turned out well and my sis is happily off to her honeymoon in Phuket. You spend ALL THAT TIME planning and organising a wedding and it's over in a day. How exhausting. Will post pictures when i finally get down to uploading them.
Nat, Ling, Wynn and Alvin came to share the happy occasion with my family and myself. I'm so glad that they were there. Kinda feel more at home and more like myself when i'm with them then when i'm actually with my extended family. I have a secure identity with them, i don't have to prove anything to them and can just simply be myself. I can look bloated and pregnant and eat way too much in front of them and they'll still love me and not judge me. So grateful i didn't have to go mingle with extended family. Wynn did hair and makeup for lenny and I for the day and i have to say that she's GOOD. Man, how she did my hair was simply gorgeous! It make the look perfect! Plus i'm super appreciative she agreed to help me cause i could not do it myself and also cause she was so sick that day! Wynn was like fluey and fevering and coughing. Poor girl. But i hope she had a good time.
Having gone through my jie's wedding and coming out exhausted in the end, makes me not want to have a fancy wedding. I wasn't even here for the most part of the planning! My wedding next time will be at the void deck, or at the nearest community centre and it will be POT LUCK. I will wear pants and will walk down the aisle to techno! Sea of love. "Don't you ever let me go, don't you ever let it show, i've been lying in the sea of love..." Then beng can do her ah lian techno dance. Yeh. No money larh. Too much trouble getting married any other way. *nods*
Anyway, besides the wedding, i've met up with a couple of people. even cabbed down to IMM in jurong to have lunch with peiqi and visit meiyen. Highlights would be meeting up with nat, van, fel and sharon for catch up session. Was sooooooooo good to see all of them again. The last time i was them was at the airport when they sent me off larh. And even then i didn't really get to see them properly. Then there was the whole Singapore Idol finals. Jonathan lost. Bugger. I shall ot support these programmes next time. The person i root for always come in second. But jonathan would have made a charming Singapore Idol. He has such nice lips and such a rich, deep, sexy voice. I WANT! Somebody give me for my birthday?! Bah. Nevertheless. My trip could have ended better. Coffee session (i don't know why we call it kopi sessions when we really only drink tea) with beng and ling at siglap. We just spent time chatting and talking over issues that only girlfriends can understand. I love how we just sit and talk. Don't need to do anything, no need for movies, no need for shopping, just a cup of teh bing and good friends. That's all you need. I love you soooooo much babes! After kopi, ling drove me down to serangoon to meet sunita's friend Shyam so i could pass him stuff and get more stuff for sunita. So yeh. It was all good.
Not looking forward to going back to perth tomorrow, cause that means back to school and i hate it. But it also means i get to go bakc to my flat and lounge around with my darling housemates. I miss huifu and jennifer too. Have to pack and all tomorrow. Hate packing. It's so hard. Bugger. Alrighty then. I think i shall go to bed now. It's like 3.05am. The Eagles won the match today against the Bulldogs! Yay! I hope the Eagles get into the finals. Haha. I've taken to watching the footy as you can tell.
Nothing much as been happening, it's just been a really tiring week. Tests and case studies and more of those coming up next week. Been getting minimal amount of sleep, but knowing that i get to go home next week just makes me happy. Haha.
Will be home on Thursday for my jie's wedding on saturday. It's all very exciting! Hope things are going well at home. Can't wait to see everyone again. Especially Nat whom i've missed the previous time i was home. Caannnnoooot wait.

Turning 21 alone really really wasn't what i planned. It kinda sucks. Spent the later half of my teenage years anticipating my 21st birthday and how i'm going to celebrate it. Now that it's here, it's NOTHING close to what i had hoped it would be.
Nonetheless, i'm glad i've lived through another dreadful year. That i've been blessed with and by so many people and so many things.
No celebration this year. No presents. No family. Just me and my dearest housemates. Well, it is better than nothing. =)
Happy Birthday to me. I am finally turning the ripe old age of 21. I wish you guys were here with me, or i was home with you. It would be just perfect. Wish my mummy were around to see how far i've come.

I just spent the last 40mins in the kitchen SUPERVISING the 2 boys. I finally decided that i should sit my fat ass down and get some studying done. Opened up my text book and got my highlighter out.. then.. there comes a knock on my door. Hayden pops his head in holding up the packet of chicken breasts and tells me they ha expired 2 days ago. Uh huh. My help was requested to make his little chicken things. The last time we made them together, i taught him how to make them, so i told him to go do it himself. Apparently, if i'm not there to help them, they'll burn down the kitchen. Bah.
So i got up, left my room and went to to kitchen. Started being a dictator, giving instruction. "Brad, cut the chicken into small pieces. Hayden, make the batter." So they went about their chicken and i just stood there an supervised. They made it all by themselves. I just helped alittle bit with the frying. As i was standing there, i really felt like i had adopted 2 children. "hayden, don't lick the batter! It's disgusting!" "Brad, wash the cutlery you used just now" "line the plate with paper towels.." Gosh. I wonder what's going to happen to them when i move out. Their new housemates will have to contend with an eternally disgusting kitchen.
At the same time. It was all very sweet. They could do it themselves but they just wanted me there to watch them. So cute larh. Haha. Like that day when we drove down to Mandaring for pizza, Brad asked me.. "nice clothes or normal clothes?" Aiyoh.... i really feel like a mum of 2 boys. But i cannot deny that it's nice. Hee hee.
